Tallinn to purchase 30 buses for €7.5m (3)
Tallinn's public transportation company Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS (TLT) and German commercial vehicle producer MAN concluded an agreement for the city's purchase of 30 new buses for a total of 7.5 million euros.
The new buses are scheduled to arrive in Tallinn in spring of next year.
Of the 30 new buses, 20 will be 12-meter, two-axle buses with three doors and the remaining ten will be three-axle articulated buses with four doors. The new buses will meet Euro 6 standards for exhaust emissions.
The TLT fleet in use in Estonia's capital city currently includes 120 MAN city buses. Euro 5- and 6-compliant buses currently make up more than half of the TLT's rolling stock.
The average age of the company's buses falls below 8.5 years.
