The State Forest Management Centre (RMK) Supervisory Board has proposed paying €19.6 million in dividends into the state budget, one third more than the previous year.

RMK’s turnover had increased to €165.2 million last year, and pre-tax profits in dividends totaled €36.6 million. Turnover had increased 1 percent in one year; price erosion in the timber market had reduced profits by 18 percent.

Last year, RMK paid €14.6 million in dividends to the state, of which €3.7 million went to taxes. Post-tax profits for 2015 totaled €32.9 million.

RMK has predicted a turnover of €171 million and profit of €37 million for the year 2016.
