While final construction work is currently underway, Levira, a partially state-owned provider of media, IT and telecom infrastructure services, is slated to open its new data center with 50 server tracks in September.

"Based on the schedule we will be able to begin offering services in the new data center in September," Kristi Kurell, a Levira spokesperson, told BNS.

"Until now we have been operating six data centers, but as their resources were close to full utilization, the next logical step was to invest in a new data center," Margus Uustalu, Levira's director of cloud services, has previously said.

The new center will provide server and rack hosting services as well as up to 10 GB of data communication links from five telecommunications operators. It will have a capacity of 400 kilowatts.

Headquartered in Tallinn, Levira is one of the largest TV play-out service providers in Northern Europe, and the main TV and radio broadcast transmission provider in Estonia. The company also operates one of the biggest data centers in the Baltics.
