State-owned airline Nordica cancelled its Thursday flights from Tallinn to Berlin and Paris due to a technical fault in its fleet of CRJ700 aircraft.

"This basically means that an indicator light went on in the plane which has to be checked. As is always the case in aviation, all things must be checked several times over," Nordica's spokeswoman Liis Veersalu told the Baltic News Service.

The airline hopes to have fixed the fault soon and continue operating the plane in question, Veersalu said. "If this does not happen, we'll get a replacement plane and the Paris and Berlin flights will be served anyway," she added.

Alternative flights were arranged for all passengers affected by the cancellation.
