Linda Line cancels all departures through Monday evening
Linda Line, the operator of a high-speed ferry connection between Tallinn and Helsinki, canceled all of its scheduled departures through Monday evening due to heavy winds.
"Due to bad weather at sea, all departures from Nov. 26-28 in both directions have been canceled," the company wrote on its website Saturday.
According to company policy, Linda Line's vessels do not operate if conditions include wind speeds exceeding 15 meters per second, or 33.5 miles per hour, and waves over two meters, or six and a half feet, high.
Linda Line operates two high-speed catamarans, the Karolin and the Merilin, between the Estonian and Finnish capitals.
