The Estonian National Museum (ERM), which opened in Tartu at the beginning of October, was visited by 32,577 people during its first full month of operation.

In addition to visiting its exhibits, 30 percent of ERM visitors, or 9,867 people, also participated in conferences, seminars, educational programs, theater performances or concerts at the museum as well.

Comparing weekly figures, attendance numbers appear to be on the rise. The greatest number of visitors in any one week, 9,837, visited the ERM during schools' countrywide fall break between Oct. 24-30.

Single-day attendance records were set on weekend days, with 2,380 people visiting the national museum on Saturday, Oct. 15 and 2,371 people visiting on Saturday, Oct. 29.
