Estonia's industrial output price index grows 0.8% on year

In October 2016, Estonia's producer price index of industrial output increased by 1.6 percent compared to September 2016 and by 0.8 percent compared to October 2015.

Compared to the previous month, the producer price index in October was influenced more than average by an increase in prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply as well as in the manufacture of fuel oils but also by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment and wood products, Statistics Estonia reported.

Compared to October 2015, the producer price index in October was influenced more than average by an increase in prices in the manufacture of fuel oils and electronic equipment, but also by a decrease in prices in mining and quarrying.

In October 015, the export price index increased by 1.7 percent compared to September 2016 and by 2.6 percent compared to October 2015.

Compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, electricity and agricultural products increased more than average, while the prices of peat products, parts and accessories for motor vehicles as well as wood products decreased more than average.

In October 2016, the import price index changed by 1.1 percent compared to September 2016 and by 0.9 percent compared to October 2015.

Compared to the previous month the prices of electricity, oil products and chemical products increased more than average, while the prices of paper products, agricultural products and other manufacturing products decreased more than average.
