Nordecon signs €11.2 Pärnu Highway road construction contract
Estonian construction group AS Nordecon and the Estonian Road Administration signed a contract worth 11.2 million euros, excluding VAT, for the construction of passing lanes and U-turns on the Ääsmäe-Kohatu portion of the Tallinn-Pärnu-Ikla Highway.
Local traffic solutions, an ecoduct, or wildlife crossing, and the new Kernu bridge will likewise be completed on the nearly nine-kilometer stretch of the highway connecting Tallinn to Estonia's biggest coastal city in the country's southwest.
In addition, Nordecon will also complete the design work for the relocation of a U-turn as well as the surface material and strength calculations necessary for the construction of the ecoduct.
The contract also provides for the pavement of approximately 70,000 square meters of secondary roads.
Construction works are scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2017.
