Estonian company Skeleton Technologies, which develops and produces supercapacitors, received a new 13 million euro investment from Malaysian venture capital firm FirstFloor Capital.

The investment will allow Europe's leading producer of supercapacitors to bring its graphene supercapacitors to the mass market as well as move up the value chain, offering clients turnkey energy storage systems, announced the tech firm.

Skeleton Technologies co-founder and CEO Taavi Maidberk noted that in the future, the business' strategic goal will be to leverage their competitive edge in moving from being a supplier of components to supplying end solutions, which will create a realistic opportunity to grow to become a key player in the supercapacitor market.
