According to Statistics Estonia, the country’s house price index increased by 6.9% over the past year, which is the smallest increase in five years.

The price of apartments rose by 7.2%, the price of houses by 6.3%.

The sudden increase in house prices was a reaction to the previous collapse following the post-2008 economic downturn. ETV’s “Aktuaalne Kamera” on Monday quoted real estate experts saying that though they didn’t expect a decrease in prices, the current levels would stabilize.
