A Finnish businessman is looking for land for an international data warehouse project that would take half of the entire country's current wintertime peak energy consumption, a newspaper reported.

Jussi Vartiainen told Eesti Päevaleht's business supplement that three independently operated power plants churning out a combined 750 megawatts would be the prerequisite for the data warehouse project.

His company is pledging a 600 million euro investment to build a 200,000-square-meter facility to house Siemens servers

The plants would provide power for cooling the servers. Residual heat would be sold to Tallinn heating networks.
