A little over half, or 52 percent, of Estonians use smartphones, according to an survey commissioned by LG Electronics.

All of the 15- to 19-year-old respondents said they use a smartphone, according to uudised.err.ee.

In a Baltic comparison, Lithuania led the survey with the highest portion of its residents having smartphones - 57 percent.

Latvia had a slightly lower result, with 44 percent of respondents saying they have a smartphone.

Across the Baltics, men were found to use smartphones slightly more than women. For instance, 63 percent of male respondents in Lithuania said they use smartphones.

The survey was conducted by Mindshare in July, surveying 1,564 people aged at least 15.
