Estonia Enjoys High Rate of Return in Direct Investments
Over the past decade, the average annual yield of direct investment in Estonia was 11 percent, according to statistics from the Bank of Estonia.
By comparison, the average return in Latvia and Lithuania during the same period was 7 percent, reported Postimees.
According to the Central Bank's figures, the rate of return was 12 percent in the Czech Republic, 9 percent in Poland and Finland, and 8 percent in Sweden.
Swedbank's department director for manufacturing, Raul Kirsimäe, said that high average rate of return was key for foreign investors.
That assertion is supported by the fact that more than half of industrial companies are planning additional investments this year, he said.
