The flag carrier airline of Estonia launched a route between Tallinn and Milan on Tuesday.

Milan is hosting the world's fair Expo this year which also features Estonia's pavilion. It is hoped that this will help to increase the air traffic.

Estonian Air flights to Milan are operated twice a week on Tuesdays and Sundays. The route will be operated until October 25, 2015.

Estonian Air is majority-owned by the Estonian government and currently offers direct flights from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Kiev, Moscow, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Split, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Trondheim, Vienna, and Vilnius.
