Monday was the last day to submit income tax forms, with 96 percent choosing to do so online, a one percentage point increase compared to last year.

Approximately 600,000 people had filed their tax reports by Monday morning. The Tax Board estimated the number would increase to 640,000 by the evening, which would be 10,000 fewer filings than last year.

The state will pay back approximately 90 million euros, 10 percent less than in 2012, and take in an additional 19 million, slightly less than last year.
