A total of 12,284 new cars were sold in Estonia in the first six months of the year, far more than the 8,390 sold in Lithuania and the 7,277 vehicles in Latvia.

Car sales in the Baltics increased by 13 percent in the first half-year, compared to the same period last year, although the biggest increase came in Lithuania – 22.4 percent, with the Estonian market only increasing 3.8 percent.

Marko Kiisa, of Swedbank, said Estonia made a leap in new car sales a few years ago and is now showing stable growth.
