During a debut in Tallinn yesterday, a Turkish Airlines representative said the company aims to connect Tallinn to the rest of the world.

The airline opened a regular Tallinn-Istanbul route on Tuesday. From Istanbul hub, passengers are connected to 200 locations, ETV reported on Tuesday.

The connection will be serviced three times a week, with a stop-over in Vilnius.

Tallinn Airport board member Erik Sakkov said the airport worked for three years to attract the airline to Tallinn.

Sezgin Saglam, deputy director of sales and marketing for Turkish Airlines, said: "With these flights we hope that the bilateral, cultural and economic relations will grow tremendously [...] We hope that we will have much more flights to Tallinn in the future."
