Estonia's Export to China Grows by 44%
Estonia's export to China rose by 44 percent to 131 million euros worth of goods in the first 10 months of 2011, according to Eurostat.
At the same time, imports from China to Estonia doubled as compared to 2010, reaching a total value of 498 million euros.
Estonia remains the most active trader with China among the Baltic States, with Lithuanian and Latvian exports to China amount to 49 million and 39 million euros respectively - and both on a growing streak.
The European Union's exports to China were up by 21 percent while imports grew by 5 percent in the first ten months of 2011. China was the EU's second most important trading partner after the US, accounting for 9 percent of EU exports and 17 percent of imports.
The largest trader was Germany, contributing for almost half of the EU exports to China, followed by France (10 percent), Italy and Germany (both 7 percent).
