Security Company Takes Eesti Energia to Court (1)
USS Security has disputed a tender for security services at Eesti Energia, one of the nation's largest companies.
Sven Nuutmann, CEO of USS Security, told Delfi on Tuesday that the their main rival, G4S was preferred on illegal grounds.
The two companies were the only ones to advance to the second round, but both bids were considered too high. G4S initially asked for 700,000 euros more than USS Security, but was allowed to make a second bid, which was something not permitted to USS Security, and duly bid 20,000 euros less than its rival, records of the meetings between Eesti Energia and the two companies show, Nuutmann said.
Eesti Energia said they will believe the procurement process was fair, but will not comment, citing the ongoing court case. Priit Sarapuu, the head of G4S, said that they had luck on their side.
The winning bid was 6.01 million euros.
