Estonia Racks Up Half of New Car Sales in Baltics
Figures show that 4,707 new cars were registered in Estonia in the first quarter of this year, nearly half the 9,800 registrations recorded in all three Baltic states.
Compared with the last quarter of 2012, the pace of registration in the first quarter grew by 3.4 percent in Estonia, but decreased by 6.4 percent and 2.3 percent in Latvia and Lithuania, respectively, Äripäev reported today.
Volkswagen was the most popular manufacturer in the Baltics, followed by Toyota and Peugeot.
The most popular models were the Honda CR-V and Nissan Qashgai compact SUVs, and the Volkswagen Golf/Plus.
