112 flights to the islands and back within a month

Latvian charter airline Transaviabaltika, which won the tender for flight connections to the Estonian islands earlier on in the year, has finished its first month of operations.

The airline operated 60 flights from Tallinn to Kärdla and back, and 52 flights from Tallinn to Kuressaare and back, local paper Hiiu Leht wrote. Transaviabaltika transported 2,177 passengers. The load factor of its planes was 49%.

The company operates the two lines with its LET L410 and Jetstream 32 aircraft. Its contract to serve the connections to the islands of Saaremaa and Hiiumaa ends on May 31, 2019.
