Smartpost Launches Postal Exchange With Finland
Itella Smartpost is opening a postal service between Estonia and Finland on Thursday.
Clients will now be able to use self-service parcel machines to dispatch post between Estonia and Finland. The company has 50 machines in Finland and 52 in Estonia. Clients will also have access to all Finnish post offices through the service.
Smartpost said it hopes the new services will attract more private customers and business clients. The company said its services are popular with internet salesmen. Clothes and home electronics have been the most popular products that Estonians order from Finland, according to company CEO, Risto Eelmaa.
Smartpost is an automatic parcel service that allows customers to place their orders online and receive notification via text message when the parcel has arrived in a selected collection point.
