Eesti Post to Lease 170 New Vans
National postal service Eesti Post will announce an open public procurement for an operating lease of 170 cargo vans.
Over the period of 2012 to 2013, all cargo vans older than five years will be replaced, according to Kaido Padar, Administrative Director at Eesti Post.
The organization estimates that the first new leased vehicles will take over from February next year, said Padar. One of the conditions for the deal is that it will also cover maintenance and repair services all over the country.
In 2010, Eesti Post acquired 32 Renault and five Peugeot cargo vans, and in September it also introduced five delivery vehicles running on methane.
Currently Eesti Post has a total of 400 vehicles out of which 13 are low-carbon-emission vehicles. Five additional "green" cars are to be received in September.
