State prosecutor investigates €2m payment of Eesti Gaas subsidiary
A former CEO of EG Ehitus, a subsidiary of Eesti Gaas, apparently made payments in the amount of two million euros for dealings with a company either he himself or his business partners were managing at the time.
Eesti Päevaleht reported that an internal audit of Eesti Gaas brought out what the daily described as “strange contracts that cast very dark shadows.”
The affair apparently involves payments out of EG Ehitus’ accounts in the total amount of two million euros.
The North circuit’s state prosecutor’s office opened an investigation in October 2015 in cooperation with the Central Criminal Police’s office for economic crime.
According to the press spokesperson of the prosecutor’s office, nobody has moved for an indictment yet.
