Estonia's average wages before taxes in the second quarter were 1,023 euros - a rise of 4.8 percent compared to a year before.

As inflation has for now practically come to a standstill, the real wage rise was the same. It was the 12th straight quarter of annual real wage growth.

The average gross hourly wage was 6.21 euros, an annual rise of 8.8 percent.

Within the quarter, gross wages were 996 euros in April, 1,002 euros in May and 1,065 euros in June.

The monthly and hourly wage rose most per annum in the financial services and insurance industry (9.3 percent and 12.2 percent monthly/hourly).

They rose least in mining (0.4 percent/4.8 percent).
