State Hosts Week of Entrepreneurship
Enterprise Estonia organized a week of events to stimulate interest for entrepreneurship from October 3 to 9.
“This kind of event is important because at least once a year it gives a chance to think about business to those who aren't tied to it in everyday life,” said coordinator Kadri Riitsaare.
Many of the 200 events around Estonia were geared toward youth. Some of the most popular events included a seminar about online social networking and another on tourism focusing on Sweden.
“The number of Estonians who see entrepreneurship as a fitting career has grown,” said Dmitri Burnashev, director of Enterprise Estonia's start-ups division. “This year, 15,000 new businesses will apparently be established - that's more than ever before.”
