Number of Real Estate Transactions Grows, Value Drops in Q1
Compared to the same period of last year, the number of real estate sales transactions recorded in Estonia grew significantly the first quarter of 2012 while the total value of transactions decreased slightly.
According to data from the Land Board, in the first three months of this year, around 7,600 real estate transactions were made in the country - 20 percent more than in 2011. The total value of the transactions, however, dropped by 4 percent to finish up at 356 million euros.
In the nation’s capital, the total value of transactions decreased by as much as 43 percent, plunging from 283.5 million to 160.3 million euros.
The number of transactions, however, took a 26 percent leap to around 2,200, the agency announced.
