Professionals Complete Specialized Language Courses
Hairdressers, beauticians, cooks and waiters were among the latest professionals to complete a round of tailor-made Estonian language courses developed under project by the Immigration and Migration Foundation Our People.
The 58 participants, all non-native speakers already working in their given professions, each underwent a free, four-month course designed to bring their Estonian language skills up to the same first-level qualifications taught in vocational schools, rus.err.ee reported.
The training was undertaken with the help of specialized study packets that present materials specific to each profession.
Since autumn, a total of 259 people have been trained under the program.
