Education Ministry Supports Keeping State Exam Results Public
The Ministry of Education says that the state examination results should not become confidential, as proposed by the student unions, since the results serve as an indicator of how good a school is.
"But certainly other indicators should be mentioned and compared alongside examination results," said the ministry spokesperson Asso Ladva on postimees.ee, adding that there is a large amount of statistics available for free via the Estonian Educational Information System.
Ladva said the Ministry supported the initiative of the student councils to compile an alternative school comparison table.
