This Weekend's Weather: Frost Advisory With Meteor Showers
A chilly weekend is in store, under most people's idea of room temperature during the day and with possible ground frosts at night in the northern and central parts of the country.
Highs will be 13-18 C on Saturday with partly cloudy skies, chance of brief showers and a north wind of 7-30 kph. Nighttime temperatures on both Friday and Saturday night will range widely, from 4-14 C depending on proximity to sea or Lake Peipsi; inland temperatures will be cold and 0 to -2 C at ground level is possible, threatening pumpkin and cucumber crops.
Sunday's high temperatures will be 16-19 C with partly cloudy skies, a chance of passing showers and variable light winds.
However, not much rain is expected and with lack of cloud cover, the Perseid meteor showers are expected to be at their best on Sunday night.
