Rescue Service Responds to Numerous Brush Fires
Rescue officials have been battling dozens of grass fires in recent days.
Just yesterday, the Rescue Board's regional offices received 23 calls of uncontrolled brush fires.
Burning of stubble on open fields is illegal year-round, but many farmers still use the technique. Some of the fires also originated from people gathering for bonfires in the unseasonably warm weather.
The fire reports came in from all parts of the country, with five different ones within Tallinn city limits yesterday, most of them small.
