Warning Issued for T-Storms Today
The National Weather Service has issued warnings for rain, high winds and hail as an organized line of thunderstorms has reached the islands and is expected to sweep eastward over the country today.
All 15 counties are under the warning, with the rain arriving in eastern Estonia in the afternoon.
Temperatures should be 25-29 C before the front passes, and 22-26 C afterwards. Precipitation will be heavy at times, with winds gusting up to 50-60 kph on the islands and coasts.
After the weather event, things should settle down, with temperatures in the high 20s, scattered showers and light winds on Friday. Saturday should be dry with temperatures flirting with but not exceeding 30 C. The chance of scattered showers will return by Sunday, with temperatures creeping back over 30 C in the south and east, but with a stronger breeze (20-30 kph).
