Weather Update: Winter Melting Away
The daily battle between sunshine and rain may continue for some time yet, but the people at the Hydrology and Meteorology Institute predict double digit temperatures for the weekend.
On Wednesday, a low pressure front will bring rain to the islands, western and southern Estonia with a possibility of sleet, a sharp contrast to the many hours of sunlight on offer on Tuesday. Eastern wind are expected to remain relatively strong, reaching up to 54 kph.
An eastern high pressure front is likely to prevail on Thursday and bring back the sun, only to give way to new rain clouds on Friday. Temperatures may fall below zero during the night and stay around 6-7 degrees during the day.
Saturday should see warmer weather with temperatures staying above zero during the night and hitting 10 degrees during the day.
