Survey: public supports Kaljurand for president
Based on the results of a June survey, the Estonian public’s support for current Minister of Foreign Affairs Marina Kaljurand for President of Estonia remains high.
According to a survey commissioned by Estonian daily Postimees and carried out during the second week of June by market research firm TNS Emor, a full quarter of those surveyed supported Kaljurand for president.
Following the current foreign minister was Tallinn ex-mayor and current Center Party Chairman Edgar Savisaar, with 14 percent of respondents’ support, and the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL) candidate Allar Jõks and Reform’s Honorary Chairman Siim Kallas tied for third place with 11 percent each. MEP Indrek Tarand (Independent) came in fourth place with six percent of respondents’ support.
15 percent of respondents remained undecided.
The TNS Emor survey was conducted from June 7-14 and included 1,345 participants aged 15-74.
