Newspaper: Enterprise Estonia to adopt elements of Kentie's branding concept
While at the end of May Enterprise Estonia (EAS) said it was not planning to adopt the "Just ESTonishing" branding concept put forward for free by Dutch national and Estonian e-resident Peter Kentie, manging director of the city and region of Eindhoven, the agency is now considering doing just that.
"We are planning on likely using elements of Peter's idea," EAS communications chief Priit Pruul told Estonian daily Postimees. He added that the rights connected to the brand must be registered correctly.
According to Pruul, EAS' marketing chief Piret Reinson has been in regular contact with the Dutch marketing expert.
Kentie, managing director of Eindhoven365, published a branding concept for Estonia in May building on what he described as the "-est" concept, a play on the first three letters of the country's name.
Estonia's brand renewal effort is being financed with money from EU Structural Funds, and the cost of the entire project to date has been 200,000 euros, of which 30,000 euros was earmarked to be spent on finding the new brand.
The new brand is slated to be taken into use in time for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia in 2018.
