The pair will speak about current events in the European Union as well as discuss regional security, migration, the situation in Ukraine and the possibilties of future cyber cooperation.

They will also touch on the Eastern Partnership, a joint initiative between the European Union, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine set up in 2009.

Soini will then meet with the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Hannes Hanso and Defence Committee chairman Marko Mihkelson.

Soini assumed office just last week. He is the co-founder and current leader of the Finns Party. Soini was a member of the European Parliament from 2009 until 2011, when he returned to the Finnish Parliament. He has previously been a vocal critic of the EU bailouts and safety mechanisms.
