The Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser offered his condolences on Tuesday to the foreign ministers of Brazil and Bolivia following the deadly crash of a chartered flight in Colombia on Monday night in which only six of the 77 people on board survived.

"My sincere condolences go out to the families of the victims and injured and to everyone affected by this tragic accident," the Estonian minister said in a message to Brazilian Foreign Minister José Serra and Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca Céspedes. "I wish everyone injured in the accident a speedy recovery. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time."

Late Monday night, a chartered LaMia jet crashed in the Andes in Colombia's worst air crash in two decades, killing all but six of the 77 people on board.

The aircraft, which departed from Santa Cruz, Bolivia bound for Medellín, Colombia, was carrying the Southern Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense to Wednesday's first game in the two-game Copa Sudamericana final against Atlético Nacional, the biggest match in the Brazilian team's history. Twenty-one Brazilian journalists were also traveling with the team.
