Consul visits businessman accused of espionage
The Estonian consul in Moscow visited businessman Raivo Susi for the second time on Thursday. Susi was arrested in the transit zone of Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport last month. The Russian authorities are accusing him of espionage.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed that their consul had visited Susi, though no details were available at that point.
Estonian representatives were allowed to meet with Susi in Lefortovo prison shortly after his arrest. He was arrested on Feb. 11 this year, a court ordered to detain him for two months shortly after.
Susi’s lawyer Anatoli Tolpegin told Russian news agency Interfax that Susi was accused to have worked for foreign intelligence between 2004 and 2007.
