Prime Minister hires adviser on regional, justice policy
Riho Kangur began working as an adviser on regional and justice policy at the Office of the Prime Ministe Jüri Ratas on Monday.
The new hire's primary duties will be to advise the Estonian prime minister on regional policy and justice policy, Tanel Kiik, director of the Office of the Prime Minister, told BNS on Wednesday.
Kangur, who holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Tartu, worked at the Department of Justice and Legislative Affairs of the Office of the Government from 2007-2016. Before that, he worked as an assistant at the Baltic Defence College.
Of the team of former Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, Martin Lindpere will continue on as economic adviser, Kadri Peeters as security policy adviser and Rein Tammsaar as foreign policy adviser under Ratas.
Kiik, who now heads the Office of the Prime Minister, previously served as adviser to Ratas in the Riigikogu, where the latter most recently served as Second Vice-President of the Riigikogu.
