In addition to the US forces already stationed in Estonia, German troops will arrive in July in a bid to contibute to the security of the Baltics and Poland, and negotiations with the British are ongoing, said Head of the Estonian Defense Forces Riho Terras.

Estonia already hosts around 500 allied soldiers, Terras told weekly Maaleht in an interview. The US Air Force's 12 A-10 fighter jets are also stationed in Ämari air base until next year for a training exercise, in addition to German Eurofighters that are part of the Baltic Air Policing Mission.

The Danish too are interested in increasing their participation in our exercises, Terras added.
