Estonian Defense Force members, along with troops from allied nations, will begin teaching Ukrainian soldiers this fall.

Around 20 Estonian soldiers will travel to western Ukraine to teach Ukrainian special forces, paratroopers and ground troops, the Defense Forces said today.

Besides the Estonian special forces, troops from other units in the Estonian Defense Forces may, in the future, also help train the Ukrainian army.

The training program will last between two and three years and Estonian soldiers will rotate in four and six month stings.

Estonia has also doubled humanitarian aid efforts to Ukraine, with Estonia aiding the conflict-locked nation with 2.35 million euros this year.
