Russian plane violates Estonian airspace
Russian army's An-72 transport plane entered Estonian airspace without permission on Thursday at 12:45. The Russian embassy has been issued a démarche over airspace violation.
The intrusion happened near Vaindloo island and lasted for less than a minute.
The plane's transponder was switched on and it had a flight plan, which specified a route in international airspace. The plane had radio contact with Estonian air traffic controllers, Estonian Defense Forces said.
The violation was registered by air traffic control in Ämari Air Base.
