Iraqi family of five arrives in Estonia (6)
A family of five originally from Iraq arrived in Estonia from Greece under the European migrant relocation plan on Tuesday.
The family was met by their assigned support person, together with whom they proceeded to their new home in Lääne-Viru County, spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of the Interior told BNS.
The family consists of a father, mother and three children. The father was previously trained as an electrician and has worked in that profession, while the mother hasbeen a homemaker.
Officials from the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA), the Internal Security Service (KaPo) and the Ministry of Social Affairs all conducted interviews with the potential asylum-seekers in Greece and Estonia authorized accepting them into the country.
To date, Estonia has relocated a total 36 refugees from Greece.
