E-voting on record course, over 41,000 votes in first 24 hours

Since the online polls opened at 9:00 on Thursday, more than 100,000 people have voted in the parliamentary elections.

In the last general election in 2011, the e-votes totaled 140,846. The 41,000 in the first day was more than double the last record for first day votes.

Electronic voting is open until Wednesday, February 25.

Those who decide to vote in person will take to the polling stations next Sunday. The first results are expected to be in at around midnight of March 1.

People who voted online can still change their votes by going to the polling stations.

As of 09:30 on Monday morning, www.valimised.ee had registered 101,603 online votes.
