Terras in Ukraine: Two nations must exchange experience
Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defense Forces Lt. Gen. Riho Terras said that the defense forces of the two nations can learn from each other.
Terras was in Ukraine, where he watched the training exercise of an airborne unit.
“It is important to increase cooperation and support one another. The airborne force training left a good impression, the training is very intense and the soldiers are professionals. Talking to the soldiers I noticed a high level of moral- and battle readiness,” Terras said.
Terras was in Ukraine from Sunday until Tuesday on the invitation of the head of the Ukrainian armed forces. He met the defense minister, the head of the army headquarters, he also visited the defense college and laid a wreath at a memorial for fallen soldiers.
