Energy, Regional Security on the Table at Obama, Rõivas Meeting
At a meeting in Stenbock House, the seat of the government, US President Barack Obama and Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas said the two nations see eye to eye on security matters
Rõivas said he would welcome the creation of a US-Baltic-Nordic flight training center at Ämari, which the PM said would further increase the presence of allies in Estonia.
The meeting, which included the Estonian defense and foreign ministers, also touched on energy security and cooperation between the US and Europe, and the upcoming NATO summit in Wales.
Rõivas presented Obama with a picture from the 1936 Olympic Games, where the US basketball team played its first ever game at the Olympics, against Estonia. The United States won that game by 52-28 and went on to win the gold, beating Canada 19-8 in the final.
