After recovering from serious health problems, Center Party Chairman, Tallinn Mayor, and one of Estonia's longest serving politicians, is back, leading the party's board meeting on Monday.

Deputy Chairman Enn Eesmaa said they made sure the meeting wouldn't last too long and tire Savisaar out. He told Postimees the board spoke about the party's congress, as well as Tallinn applying for the green capital title.

Priit Toobal, the party's general secretary, said Savisaar will not yet return to head Tallinn and Kadri Simson will, at least for now, continue as the party's acting head. Toobal said Savisaar led the meeting.

Savisaar spent three months in hospital, returning home about a month ago. He suffered from a serious infection which led to the amputation of a leg.
