Reform Party Voting Fraud Discovered Also in Viljandi County
An internal investigation into the Reform Party’s leadership election fraud has now found violations in votes cast from Viljandi County, in addition to the rigging discovered earlier in Lääne and Võru counties.
“Today we discovered four cases where a development director had cast votes for other people,” MP Väino Linde said, adding that they are checking another seven votes, ETV reported on Thursday.
The development director for Viljandi County, Ott Kukk, said he had let his employers down, and cited a lack of time as the reason.
Linde told Postimees that the votes were cast in favor of a number of candidates and there is no pattern similar to the Lääne-Viru County fraud, where the development director rigged votes in favor of one candidate, MEP Kristiina Ojuland.
Kukk said no candidate asked him to cast the illegal votes.
