Kaja Kallas: Confusion at Enterprise Estonia Creates Uncertainty
Kaja Kallas, head of the Parliament's Economic Affairs Committee, said the confusion over the leadership of the state agency that channels funding to companies and marketing campaigns creates uncertainty, despite its assurances the organization's work is unaffected.
Kallas told ERR radio that the committee did not receive certain answers at today's meeting in Parliament and expressed hope that the institution allocating taxpayers' money can get its affairs in order and ensure complete transparency, uudised.err.ee reported.
Arto Aas, Kallas's fellow parliamentary faction member from the Reform Party, told uudised.err.ee that Enterprise Estonia has failed to find a stable and dedicated leadership despite the reputation and salaries of the organization.
Aas said “something must be wrong in how the organization is run”, if the leaders change every year without a clear explanation to the public or the staff.
