The Ministry of Economic Affairs has unveiled a new-look supervisory board for Enterprise Estonia, the state tourism and entrepreneurship support agency.

The 11-member board has been replaced by a board of six new faces, with Ahti Kuningas (Deputy Secretary General at the ministry) remaining, the ministry said on Monday.

The six new members are David O'Brock (head of board at AS Molycorp Silmet), Toomas Talts (owner of OÜ Codeborne), Erki Mölder (AS TREV-2 Grupp head of board), Maris Lauri (adviser to the PM), Anto Liivat (lecturer at the Estonian Business School and Social Democrat member) and Reform Party MP Meelis Mälberg.

The first task of the new supervisory board is to find a new head for Enterprise Estonia. Andres Rannamäe, the previous head, was sacked after only two weeks on the job a month ago. The then-head of the supervisory board, Cinzia Siig, said Rannamäe tarnished the organization's image.

Two weeks later new minister Anne Sulling recalled the entire supervisory board. She said the new supervisory board will have to update the organization's strategy, as financial grants to companies will decrease and the organization will have to focus more on advising businesses.

The previous board had three IRL and three Reform Party members, while the new board only has one member from both coalition parties.
